Lance (aka “Biggums”) is a really cool dude and totally spiffy in his spotted coat! Weighing in around 55 lbs, he is a goofy & loving Catahoula mix with a penchant for laying spread-eagled on the floor to cool his big belly! Lance is house-trained, crate-trained, and very well-behaved. He loves his stuffed toys and really wants nothing but to please his people and a nice cool place to lay down and observe. Look out, because he does try to disguise himself as a little lap dog sometimes! Lance gets along great with other female dogs and smaller male dogs as well as kitty friends. He could do well as an only dog, too.
Lance’s foster parents think he would be awesome as a companion for a family with young kids (he’s very gentle and doesn’t even lick, so no worries about slobbering on babies here!). He's usually super laid back (ok, maybe lazy is a better word!) but he does love playing short games of fetch, little walks outside, and rolling over and over in the grass. He would also be great for an older couple or someone with a less active lifestyle. If you are looking for a running partner, Lance is not the dog for you, but if you like relaxing on the couch and going for car rides, he’ll be your best friend for life!
