Joon

Meet Joon!  You may remember the story of Benny and Joon.  They were picked up as strays by Harris County Animal Control looking pretty near death. When we received the email about these two we knew we had to act fast because they were scheduled to be put to sleep. They both were severely emaciated, had virtually no hair on their bodies and were infested with just about every type of worm and parasite you can imagine. They were so malnourished that they walked like a broken down old man. We got them immediately to our emergency vet where they had to spend a several weeks before they were healthy enough to go to a foster home to start their road to recovery. Little Joon was so skinny and had virtually no hair at all.  We also think due to their ages and being found together that they may be father and daughter.

 Well, after a few month of serious TLC, Joon has transformed into a precious, dainty little Husky.  The vet guesses she’s about a year old and she is very petite, maybe weighing 35lbs.  Her growth may have been stunted from being so malnourished, but she’s just darling.    She’s a spunky little thing with a seriously cute personality.       

While they were recovering, they were in a temp. foster home and did well.  When they started to gain back their energy, they went to the dog park frequently and did great playing with other dogs.  Joon is used to being in a crate from boarding, so she would do just fine being crated while unsupervised.  She has done great with all of the dogs she has met, but would do best in a home without cats.
