Jolie

Friends, Meet Jolie! Jolie is an adorable 2 year old spayed female terrier mix who is about 40-45 pounds. This poor girl was seen by us at BARC and had been there for a long time when Scout’s Honor finally rescued her. You know she was special if she made it there for so long.   When the volunteer showed up to get her, the employee she spoke to yelled through the wards "Jolie is getting out" and employees came running to tell her goodbye. One employee even knelt down, held her tight and said with tears in his eyes "I knew we would get you out. I knew it." Their reaction to Jolie's being saved was a great testament to who this little girl is. On her ride to the vet clinic, she was a perfect angel with her front paws in the driver's lap but she never put her head down. Instead she leaned in and gave occasional gentle licks of thanks. She was very happy to see other dogs at the vet and was sweet to everyone.

Jolie loves to play and gets along great with most other dogs of all sizes and all people. She can be a little bossy but is  quick to learn her boundaries when you teach her - you just have to be the pack-leader.  Jolie is very well behaved. She will ask you to go out when she needs to, she sleeps in her crate (with the door open), only plays with the toys from the toy box, and sits whenever asked.  She loves to look out the window and will alert you to people walking up and down the street, but quiets down as soon as they’ve passed.

Jolie is quite a lover and will give you kisses and snuggle in the bed or on the couch while watching TV. She will also flop over on her back and beg for belly rubs and will lay there for as long as you are willing to go.  She's very cute when she wants to play with other dogs.  At first she will hop around and toss the toy and if that doesn't get the dog’s attention she will go over and softly woof in his ear until he takes the bait. 

Jolie is house-trained, crate-trained and well behaved. She also loves to go on walks and jogs and has plenty of energy if you want a jogging partner, but is equally happy lounging on the couch with you. Jolie is just the perfect girl and how can you resist those cute ears!

Now we just need to find a wonderful foster or forever home for this sweet-pea. Sweet Jolie has been in boarding way too long!!  Please consider fostering her until her forever home comes around!  Or, maybe you could be the right forever home??

Jolie is up to date on her vaccinations, spayed and micro-chipped.
