Jefferson is a fabulous, goofy, full of love kind of boy. He is always happy and full of funny little quirks. He will most definitely keep you laughing. One of our favorite quirks is barking at his reflection trying desperately to get that other dog to play:)
As big as he is, about 60 pounds, he still loves to cuddle up in your lap and snuggle in close. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him. He is such a charmer.
Several months ago, Jefferson had a series of seizures so we rushed him to Gulf Coast Neurology. They found Neospora, a toxin that is common in the soil, to be the cause of his seizures. He has been cleared of the toxin, but still has occasional seizures, which are kept under control through his medications. We have worked closely with his vet to get his medications just right so that the seizures are controlled, but our big goofy boy is still 100% himself.

I wanted to write because the pictures and description do not do justice to this WONDERFUL dog. I had the pleasure of caring for him and absolutely fell in love with this sweet boy- if I had room for more dogs, he would be mine. He is a big boy, but not rough and cuddles in a gentle and loving way. He loves to be around people and is great with other dogs, even in a vet hospital. He sits and is sooooo patient when he is examined or needs a blood test – an angel of a patient. He just wants to be loved. He is in great body condition and would easily fit into a home with other dogs or kids. I wanted to write this to support his adoption- he is really a fantastic dog and deserves a forever home."
Jefferson is currently in a foster home with several other dogs. He loves to run and play. He is also great with kids. He is a big boy with an even bigger heart.
