Hi Friends,
Meet handsome Hugo! Hugo waited 7 long weeks at Laporte Pound to be saved, so we really want to get him his permanent or foster home ASAP! Hugo is about 1 year old. He is 50 pounds and was a shelter favorite. He is quite the charmer!
Hugo is great with all people and other dogs. He is a very laid-back boy. I got to spend a lot of time this morning taking him for a long walk. He is wonderful on a leash; he almost walks at a heel. Every time he got ahead and there was tension on the leash, he immediately slowed down and went to my side. He loved his walk and is also a very good runner. He would make a great running companion. Hugo seems to be highly trainable. He is not extremely high energy, although he enjoys playing with other dogs. Hugo's favorite part of the outing was seeing the big UPS truck. I think he thought it was a long-lost sibling because it was brown just like him!
Hugo is a chocolate lab mix. He looks to be about full grown, but could stand to put on some weight. He is the perfect size and is a very controllable dog, so would probably do well in a home with kids. He is crate trained and just a total love bug. So please consider fostering this sweet boy!!! Scout's Honor will cover all costs associated with fostering; all you provide is the TLC!!
