Honey 4

Meet Honey!!! Just look at that FACE - have you ever seen a cuter dog than sweet Honey??? Honey is one FABULOUS girl that was found wandering the streets and was rescued by a kind lady. Honey is safe and sound but is looking for a home of her very home! Please read about Honey and pass along to anyone you know looking for a wonderful dog and companion!! Honey is a stunning very petite lab, possibly mixed with a little staffie. She is about a year to a year and half old. Honey is up to date on all of her shots, spayed and mircochipped too. Honey weighs about 40 pounds and is full grown. Honey is great inside! She is totally housetrained and also knows how to use the dog door and she is in and out all day and some of the night. She loves to chase squirrels and bark at the neighbor dogs as well as the postman. She is an active girl. I can always tell when the mail is about to arrive; all the dogs on the street herald his appearance. Honey is trained to her crate, although I do not use it as often as I did when she first arrived. She stays on her bed at night. Honey has been to obedience class and is super-smart and already knows alot! How wonderful to adopt a doggie that already has lots of training and knows basic commands too!! She comes when I whistle, sits upon command, gets off my bed when told, and lately, does not jump the baby gate that makes the living room off limits to the dogs. I have lately left her to her own devices when I leave for a few hours and she has not chewed anything! She tolerates her bath, holds still for nail clipping and ear cleaning. Honey is also wonderful with kids!! She adores my 5-year-old granddaughter and the one year-old as well and wants to lick them and follow them from room to room. I have never taken her to the dog park but I would love to. I do not know about cats. I do not have a cat and I have never had her around any. I think the right cat would put her in her place once and that would be that. She is very smart and learns fast, especially with loving training. She is much attuned to my approving voice and when I use my stern voice, lowers her head and eventually lies down on the floor in a very submissive way. This has been my method of training her to stay out of the living room. When I come home and she is not in the living room, she is praised highly and this last week she has stayed out! I really love her and am so proud of her behavior. For a street dog, she is so smart and sweet and will make someone a wonderful pet!! Honey would do great with an energetic person that likes to run or bicycle or skate who could give her lots of good exercise as well as attention. Honey is also very affectionate and loves to loved!! She does love to be petted and paid attention. When I am at the computer, she is lying at my feet, when I move to my work space, she moves with me; when I get up to go to the kitchen, she comes, too.
