He had been injured in a dog fight and also his beautiful coat was terribly matted and tangled, and he had mange - he was a mess. Look at him now! He is all healthy and has grown a very thick, luxurious coat. Over time he has also turned from a scrappy street dog into a lovable house dog. Hobo is a very enthusiastic and energetic young man. He loves other dogs but can be a bit overwhelming for them sometimes. For that reason, he needs an equally energetic playmate that is pretty easy-going and won’t react to his insistence on playing, or he needs to be an "only child". He would also be too overwhelming for small children, but older children are fine. We affectionately call him “Monster Truck” because when he "gets his energy on" he tears through the house at top speed and nothing stands in his way. We also refer to him as “Mr. Personality” because he will definitely get you laughing with his antics. He is very talented with his squeaky toys and will get noises out of them you didn’t think possible! He also tosses them about and can entertain himself. But he also has a very affectionate side, loves to sit next to you on the couch or bed and has learned to love tummy rubs. He is going to be a very loyal dog to his new family. One of his cutest attributes is the way just the tip of his tongue sticks out much of the time - what a face!
