Meet Hansel!

Hansel is a little Rottie, weighing 65 lbs. and about 2.5 years old. He was found weighing 25 lbs. and with a rubber band wrapped around his tail in a botched attempt to dock it. The wound was infected and he was in a lot of pain. At our ER vets, we learned the wound went into his vertebra and had necrotic tissue, meaning he was hurting for a long time.

Now our boy is healed and doing fantastic in a foster home where he lives with a 15 month human baby and two fur babies, a rottie and a smaller dog. He is happy and goofy when he’s awake, but loves his long naps on the sofa. Hansel is always ready with a smile and wants to snuggle any time.

He is an energetic little guy who loves exercising and playing with his toys. He would do great in a home with active dogs and/or active people.

Hansel is crate-trained (but rarely needs to be crated) and house trained. He is food motivated, which means he learns very quick how to earn treat rewards. Despite is rough start at a young age, he is an extremely sweet and lovable guy, making him the perfect family pet. He has the typical rottie traits: loyal and intelligent!

Hansel is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro-chipped.  He’s 100% healthy and ready to find his forever home!
