Meet Lola and Gracie!! They are two fabulous little girls that were abandoned by their rotten owners on the mean streets of Houston when they came upon one of our wonderful volunteers who immediately rescued them. Its clear these sweeties have been together their whole lives and are very, very bonded with each other and sweet Lola is very dependent on Gracie! We think they are sisters but more importantly they are definitely the best of friends and because they have been through so so much together, we want to find them a home together. Can you please help us??? These are two fabulous little ladies!!! They both know sit, shake, lay down, down, and walk extremely well on leashes. They also both did really well around my neighbor's 5 yr old and 1.5 yr old children. They are also housetrained and very laid back and sweet, sweet girls. They also get along great with other dogs. Gracie is a super sweet, lovey dog. she looks to be a mostly beagle mix, but she could have some lab in her. she's a bit on the lazy side and just wants to lay in your lap and snuggle. and she loooooves treats! she's a little piglet ;-). she gets along great with other dogs; she's a little timid around more alpha-ish dogs but she doesn't snip back at them (we tested her with my neighbor's alpha dog and our two alpha-ish females). Lola is also an extremely sweet dog. she LOVES giving kisses! she looks to be a German shepherd mix mix, but she's very small! At first she's very timid and shy, but once she warms up to you, she really comes out of her shell! She's SUPER curious and very intelligent. she wants to run up to every dog and tell them hi but once they notice her, she darts off; she's very passive and gets along with all dogs (even dominant ones) after she knows them. once she gets used to other dogs, she bugs them to no end to play with her constantly. Lola loves to play with Gracie and they'll play until they're both worn out ;-) Lola and Gracie would probably do best going to a home together since they seem to be sisters and have been together their whole lives. and an added plus if they go together, they play with each other and wear each other out ;p. I think they might do ok going to separate homes (although I think it'd be really tough on Lola) but they probably both need to go to a home with a dog or two already since they both love having playmates. Soooo if you already have a dog, remember the third one is the charm!! If you don't have a dog and are looking for one, we always say two dogs are better than one b/c they will have a companion while you are at work and to keep them company an to play with....
