Ginger 6

Meet our sweet girl Ginger! Ginger came to Scout’s Honor Rescue in early 2007 when Scout’s Honor Rescued over 25 dogs from Death Row at BARC and Ginger was one of the very lucky doggies to be a part of this huge rescue effort.  Poor Ginger had been living at BARC for 7 very long months and quickly stole the hearts of everyone she met when she was first rescued by Scout’s Honor.
Ginger was adopted and happily living in a home for the past few years when due to a change in circumstances, Ginger was returned to Scout’s Honor.  Dogs just don’t come any sweeter or easier than Ginger.  Ginger has had extensive obedience training and knows lots of commands – from sit and down to stay (and she’ll stay until you tell her “free”) and everyone that meets her goes on and on about how very smart she is so bet you could teach her lots of fun things.  Ginger is completely housetrained and loves being inside with her family.  She was left alone inside the house while they were gone and did great.  Ginger is very playful and fund loving. She will make a great companion for you! She LOVES, LOVES to play fetch and chase the ball and bring it to you! She will make a fabulous companion to take and play with in the yard. She has the softest brown eyes and prettiest markings - very striking indeed!!
She is also great with kids and is very patient with them and has lived with kiddos from infants to adolescents.  Ginger has also lived with two other male dogs and enjoys playing with some of the other neighborhood dogs too.  Ginger is calm and loves riding in cars and does very well.  She is also walks great on a leash and is just a very easy, wonderful dog in need of a second chance after having been through so much.  Just one of those amazing doggies needing a “break” and finding a forever home.

Ginger is a female, about 5 years old. She is spayed, up to date on her shots and microchipped too! She is an American Pit Bull Terrier/Staffordshire Terrier mix.  We think Ginger would make a great companion for another dog and a family with kids, but would also be happy as an only child too – she will do well in lots of family situations. 

Ginger is currently having to stay at a kennel which is very hard on her and she REALLY needs a foster while she waits to find that perfect home.  Please consider opening your home to this sweetie and adopting her or fostering her until she finds her forever home!
