Flynn 1

Hi there!

My name is Flynn and I am a 7ish year old red and white Brittany Spaniel.  I am best described as a laid back gentleman.  I love humans of all ages, other dogs and cats too.  (It doesn’t hurt my feelings if they don’t like me, I just leave them alone)  I currently live with my foster Mom, my foster brothers/sisters and several cats but I need to find a forever home.  Maybe I could live with you?  Let me tell you about myself… 

I was found wandering the streets.  I was about to try to cross a major road when my Foster Mom stepped in and rescued me.  I was kind of dirty and covered in fleas so I was given a bath and taken straight to the vet.  At the vet, I had several issues attended to which included the removal of several non cancerous fatty tumors, neutering (Whatever that means) and a dental.  I also got all of my shots and they told me that I am heartworm negative.  That’s good right?   I was underweight but we have been working on that issue.  Everyone is impressed with how mellow I am.  I’m not a barker and I don’t get overexcited like many dogs.  I am told I have some unusual antics.  The vet said I have some neurological issues but nothing to worry about.  I have to take a pill every morning which is just fine with me as long as it is buried in a spoon of yummy can food or cheese or peanut butter.

My favorite activities are running in the yard and playing with my foster brothers and sisters.  Once I get worn out I like to lay down wherever I am and go to sleep.  I sleep HARD!  My Foster Momsays a freight train could come through the living room and I wouldn’t know about it.  You may have to touch me to wake me up sometimes because I’m in so deep a sleep that I don’t hear you.  At first they thought I was slightly deaf but the truth is that I have selective hearing.  I only pay attention to sounds that interest me.  This doesn’t mean that I don’t listen or obey commands, it just means that I’m relaxed and don’t twitch at every noise I hear like my younger foster siblings.  If I’m awake I‘m listening.

At my foster home they have this big wet blue thing called a “Pool” in the back yard and I just can’t seem to master the concept of running “around” the pool.  Unfortunately, I get distracted and I keep falling in.  It’s really embarrassing because I can’t swim so I just sink which is really scary. 

My dream home would be somewhere with a pool free yard and people to love on me.  A brother or sister would be awesome but I could be an only dog too!  I’m so low maintenance you won’t even know I’m there.  (Unless you trip over me because I’m asleep in the middle of the floor).  I tend to stay off furniture because the floor is right there and so much easier to sleep on.  (You should try it)

I can’t think of much else to say about me.  I get told that I’m a good boy a lot so…maybe that’s helpful to know.  If you would like to meet me, please get in touch.  I likewhere I am right now but it’s only temporary because my Foster Mom has her hands full with my foster siblings.  I really hope I hear from you!
