Fen

Meet cutie-pie Fen!  Fen is a Blue Lacy/Labrador/hound mix and is quite the comedian.  He will make anyone smile.  And he needs a foster!  Would you like to foster Fen?

Agile and energetic, Fen was the runt of his litter, and while smaller in size than his littermates, Fen is large in spirit, received more than his share of personality, and isn’t easily intimidated by bigger dogs.   Perfectly characterized by the lightning bolt marking on his nose, Fen is always up for a good time whether it’s romping with other dogs at the dog park or visiting the local pet store.  When the fun is over, however, he likes nothing better than to stretch out across your lap for cuddles and kisses.  Also, with some training, we believe he will excel in obedience, agility, and other dog sports. This rascal will keep you laughing and on your toes.

Fen was born on October 6, 2010 and is full grown at 55 pounds.  The perfect size!

Blue Lacys are the official state dog of Texas and the only breed to have originated in Texas. Originally bred to drive/herd cattle and hogs on Texas ranches, they are rumored to have originated from greyhound, scent hound and coyote stock. The book, Old Yeller, is said to have been based on a Blue Lacy. Gentle, energetic and easily trained, Lacys are highly prized for their intelligence and scent-trailing/herding abilities.
