Eloise

Meet Eloise!  This lovely lady was rescued by a volunteer who was going on a gut feeling a few weeks ago.  They were lead to her from an ad they saw on Facebook.  The ad was for a Great Dane that needed a good home and they wanted for her was $100.  Something told them to go check on this dog!!  They drove out and found the house and when they went in they were overwhelmed by what they saw.  The filth was worse than any they had seen and don't get them started on the smell.  Eloise was in a large dog crate that she could not even stand up in.  When they went to let her out, the people were worried that she would knock me over.  They admitted that she was not let out very often because she was so big and bouncy.  Eloise was not a full Dane but a Dane/lab mix and she gave them that “please help me” look, so they gave the people the money and took her.  They took Eloise strait to the vet and realized that she had never seen a vet before.  She had a yeast infection, which is now cured, on her feet from standing around in her own filth.  She was at least 25 lbs under weight and lethargic.  She is very sweet and all she wants to do is please.  Eloise does like a lot of attention and could use a smidge more training to manage her size and strength. 

Eloise is approximately 1 year old and was 87 pounds the day she was rescued.  In just a few weeks is topping 100 pounds and still has some room to grow into those legs of her. She is very tall with long legs that sometimes so faster than even she can keep up with!  Eloise is a big, playful goofball who would happily romp and play from dusk til dawn. She would like an active family and one that would spring for a bucket of toys to play with when you can’t!  Eloise is in a foster with children and does great with them. Sometimes she doesn’t realize how big she is, but geeeeezzz, she is just trying to give you a kiss!!  Eloise loves her toys and shares well & plays well with other dogs. She has an equal amount of fun moving the piles of toys from one place to the next as well.  She is finally getting the puppy she didn’t get to be in her previous life.  Let’s celebrate it with a family that appreciates all the love this girl can give!
