Meet sweetie pie Ellie. Ellie was found as a stray, all scraggly and flea ridden, and running around in the middle of a busy street. Now she is safe and sound, and after a good grooming, vaccinations, and a spay, she is ready for her new home!
Quite simply, Ellie is as cute as a bug! She is a schnauzer mix and is approximately 1.5 years old. She weighs in at a whopping 16 pounds. Ellie loves to be held and thinks there is no such thing as a bad tummy rub -- she will take all kinds!
Ellie is a very sweet girl. She is a little shy in unfamiliar surroundings, but warms up quickly and is very friendly. Ellie is a light eater (she is watching her girlish figure!). She loves her toys and is energetic and light on her feet. Ellie loves car rides, walks well on a leash, and plays well with other dogs. She is also good with cats, but you have to watch her because she can rough house a little too much with them.
Ellie is cratetrained and housetrained (although she has not had the entire run of her foster mom's house due to the fact that she wants to play too much with the little kittens her foster mom is caring for). She sleeps well in her crate at night, but sometimes wakes her foster mom up for a drink of water and a potty break.
Because Ellie gets a little shy in new situations, she tends to get scared at the vet and the groomers and will snap out of fear. It is never aggression, and she warms up once she is comfortable. So her new owner will just want to make sure Ellie is comfortable in any new situations.
