Duke  is an absolutely fantastic lab boy whose life took a very sad turn.  Duke ’s dad loves him very much but just cannot handle 110 pound boy and all his happiness. It has just been the two of them and rules have apparently been a little bit low in priority so some patience in this area will be really important.

Sometimes things on the counter might smell a little too good to not jump up and see what’s there:) . He just might be so happy to meet new friends he may give them a hug. But he is a great boy, full of love and willing to learn. His home must have tons of love and lots of patience!

Duke  is still adjusting to being away from his dad. He does have some anxiety but has settled incredibly well into his foster home.

Duke ’s best home would have someone who is usually home, NOT a home where he is alone 8+ hours a day. He definitely needs a yard, not an apartment kind of boy, and would love a swimming pool (pool not required, but a baby pool could help:)

We have tested  Duke  with other dogs and he has not shown any aggression. However, his nervous energy/anxiety tends to make other dogs uncomfortable. So if the home has another dog that dog absolutely must be well balanced and as kind and patient as the humans.
