Duke 2

Friends,

Duke is believed to be approximately 2-3 years old and was found running the streets on I-10.  His dreadlocks and mats hung to the ground and it’s either presumed he had been lost for months in survival mode or was neglected by his owners.  Surprisingly his health is stable except for a light diagnosis of heart-worm positive, which is being treated with monthly preventative.  He has been fully vetted, neutered and is ready to find a loving, caring home where  he  can thrive for the rest of his life.  Duke does well with other dogs and has a mild, playful interest in cats.  He was boarded in a communal doggy day care for a week and romped and played with all dogs very well.  He spent a few day at a family with small children who pulled and played with Duke all to his pleasure. Then he was fostered briefly by someone with three other dogs and again within minutes was one of the gang.  He appears to be house broken and very intelligent – sweet natured and very lap-loving.  Duke will make some family very happy and we’re hoping some family will make the holidays happy for Duke!
