Ducky

Meet Ducky! Ducky is another victim of more despicable people! Our sweet Ducky is a 13-14 year old Australian Shepherd or Border Collie mix that was just dumped at a local kill-shelter by his owner. He gave his whole life (over 13 years!!) to his owners as a devoted companion and his reward once he got older was to be cast off like yesterday’s news. Now that Ducky is a little old man, he wants nothing more than to just relax, but he didn't get that from his horrible owners. He was dumped at the pound, totally disoriented and devastated. 

Poor Ducky is losing his sight and hearing, but that doesn't slow him down one bit. Sometimes he will get a second wind and will trot around with a lot of spunk and is a total social butterfly. Despite being 13-14 years old, Ducky can move around very well and enjoys exploring and playing with other dogs. He is a super sweet guy and is very friendly to everyone, though you have to give him a minute. Because of his limited sight and hearing he take a few minutes to get accustomed to new people. He loves any attention. He would likely do great with cats as well. He’s super well-behaved and was definitely an indoor dog his whole life. He’s been checked out by our vets and all in all he’s in pretty good shape. He has some allergies which makes him scratch, but they are controllable with some medication. He’s doing great though and is just an awesome little guy! 

Please consider giving this sweet boy a home. He probably doesn’t have too many years left, but he has A LOT to give the caring person that lets him live his days out in comfort. He would be a super easy addition to any home as he loves to just curl up on a soft bed and sleep and go on his daily stroll. Please consider opening your heart and home to this sweet old man. Just look at his sweet little face!
