Meet Dozer. Poor Dozer was apparently tossed from a car or truck on 610 at 45 in the middle of traffic and was laying prone in the middle of one of the lanes of the freeway the first Saturday afternoon in November. One of our board members saw him laying there and had to stop. A good Samaritan had stopped and called in to report the dog on the freeway. A police officer and two tow truck drivers showed up and were blocking traffic for this boy, but were too afraid to pick Dozer up and help him so they called BARC to get him. That is when our board member happened to drive by, stopped, and told them that she would get him. So, she scooped him up and took him straight to the vet. Poor Dozer had oil all over him with road rash and cuts and scrapes. The vet x-rayed him and said that he had a lung contusion but luckily no broken bones, just a sprain or two. He has since made a full recovery and is getting around very well. In addition he is heartworm negative! He is such a sweet boy that just needs a second chance.
Dozer is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and micro-chipped. He's a very friendly guy who just needs a home to call his own. Just look at those beautiful green eyes, how can you resist this little guy?
