Meet Dodson!

This sweet boy found himself in trouble and out of time at BARC not too long ago.  Luckily, a volunteer noticed that he was a really cool dog and worked super hard to get a rescue group to spring him!  That is where Scout’s Honor and a fabulous foster home came in the picture.  Since then, the big guy has been living quite the life and stealing a few hearts along the way.

Dodson is right around one year old and weighs in at 65lbs.  Dodson has figured out that the meals will keep coming, so he no longer inhales his food, he potties outside well and will occasionally go stand at the door as an indicator he needs to go out, he plays well with other dogs, and LOVES his people.  He hasn’t figured out, however, that not all people don’t just unequivocally and totally love him ~~ that typical Labrador attitude!    Dodson will be a totally devoted boy to his adoptive family and prefers 24/7 contact with people.  He is energetic and most entertaining when he plays tag and chase; he was a good rescue and is so fun to have around. 

We think he has had some training because he is so gentle when hand-fed, lets me take a ball out of his mouth without biting, and walks well mannered on a leash.  He is as strong as an ox, plays tug-o-war and chase and shows off big time with lots of puppy mannerisms.  Dodson never lets his foster mom out of his sight when she is at home with him.  Please come meet this fabulous family member right away!
