Dodger 1

Hi my name is Dodger, I’m a loving old soul looking for a home as loving as I am!  Don’t mind my tough appearance; I’m as sweet as can be!  I can be a little shy at first towards people (I’ve had a tough life and people haven’t always been very nice to me) but I quickly warm up to anyone and will be the most loyal, best friend you could ever hope for!  Once you get to know me, you’ll see what a real goober I am!  My back right leg is still healing from the time I wasn’t able to ‘dodge’ that car while I was living on the mean streets of Houston all by myself, but the doctors tell me that I’m on the mend and will be good as new in no time.  Did I mention how very smart I am and how very quickly I learn things?  I’m highly treat motivated too and my foster dad has already taught me sit, stay, and come.  My favorite toys are a plastic bucket (love it!) or a brick (did I mention I’ve had a hard life?).  My favorite games are tug-of-war (I’m really good at that one!) and wrasslin’ with my foster brother (I always let him win).  I love all kinds of food (even vegetables!) and am just a very easy dog looking for a forever home.  I’m looking for a home where my new parents can continue to teach me new things and help me be the very best dog that I can be and give me the home and love that I’ve been waiting so very long for.  My new favorite toy is my green monster and you will rarely see me without it!  I like to take it everywhere with me.  I get along fine with other dogs, but my foster dad thinks I’d do best with a female dog or another submissive male like me (because I’m such a sweetie that I don’t really defend myself if someone bosses me).  I get along great with little dogs too, they seem to like to sleep on top of me.  I’m OK with cats and kids too!  Also, if you scratch my belly in just the right place, my leg twitches like crazy, it’s just precious!  I’m also completely house and crate trained too! I’m just a fabulous dog with a fun, goofy personality ready for a home of my very own!  Are you the family for me?
