Meet Darla!

Darla is a cute 8 month old female Rottweiler who was turned in to BARC (the Houston pound) by her owners. She is a very sweet and gentle girl, and it is because of that personality that she initially was moved to the adoptable dog section of BARC. However, as happens too often, she started to get sick at BARC and as a result was pulled out of adoptions and included on the euthanasia list. When Scout's Honor heard that she was no longer safe and was in danger we knew we had to act fast to help this poor girl who did nothing to deserve this fate. We got Darla out and moved her to our vet where we found she had a fever and a little bit of a respiratory infection. However, with just a little bit of medicine and some TLC, she got better and is now healthy and happy and ready to find her real forever home.

Darla is only 50-60 pounds but should still get a little bigger since she is only 8 months old, though she won't get too much bigger. She is just a young girl who loves, loves people. When you first meet her she can be a little timid until she realizes that you are going to be nice to her and then she instantly warms up to you and here comes the kisses. Darla is good with dogs and little kids too. Won't you please consider giving this girl the break she deserves - a forever home?!
