Meet Cotton,

Cotton was recently spotted living in and around some vacant buildings that were once part of a juvenile detention center. He was seen for weeks hanging out with two other dogs and they did not look to be in too bad of shape so we think they may have been dumped. Lucky for them, a good Samaritan began feeding them so that they would not go hungry and so they would want to stay in the area since they were getting food.  We were able to get Cotton to safety, but we have not seen the other two again, but are still looking for them and hope to be able to get them off the streets too.

Well, Cotton is a sweet boy, but is still scared and nervous after being picked up and brought to safety. We have seen dogs like him before and are confident that a little TLC and stability will have him out of his shell in no time. He'd likely do best in a home with another dog to bring him confidence and learn that there's nothing to be afraid of anymore.  He's in good health and is heartworm negative. Right now all he needs is a caring person to let him into their home, where he can relax and learn that people are nice and care about him. Please consider bringing this sweet boy home, he promises to love you.

Cotton is a young guy, only about 2 years old and appears to be a Cattle Dog (with his blue Merle coloring) mixed with a Shepherd.
