Cosmo is still waiting for a foster or forever home! HE HAS BEEN IN BOARDING FOR ONE WHOLE YEAR!!!! While he loves doggie day care, he is starting to get a little stir crazy from not getting out and getting into a home! He would love a warm bed and family to curl up with at the end of a long play day! Cosmo is FABULOUS with kids and loves running around the yard while they giggle and run around with him. If you are looking for a cool dog to play fetch with, Cosmo LOVES his tennis balls & is great with kids!
Cosmo’s DNA test came back and shows that he is part Boxer and part White Swiss Shepherd. This means you get an even mix of a super COOL dog and a super SMART dog! He is so handsome and sweet, it breaks our heart that he is still sitting in boarding while life is passing him by. Dogs don't live 100 years, so to lose out on an entire year is horrible! Anyone that meets, fosters, or adopts Cosmo is going to long for that extra year with him. He is that great!
Cosmo was recently rescued from the mean streets by a fabulous volunteer! He is approx 2 1/2 years old. He weighs in at a comfy 73 pounds and likely has put on an extra pound or two while in boarding. Cosmo is eager to please, is so smart and very trainable. At feeding time, if requested, he will sit and wait for the signal to start eating. What a good boy! He is crate trained & great on a leash but does like to chase squirrels. We haven't encountered any cats yet, but I would guess he would want to chase them as well, so let’s find him a home without cats! He also knows how to sit and shake!
Cosmo has been in a few different temporary foster homes with kids and has done great with them as well. A home with kids would make his day. He runs around like a happy dog with other dogs, especially the girls, but can sometimes want to be the boss of the boys. He is working on learning when everyone else is tired of playing and still will need a little practice on that. He is just happy to get to play, be young and energetic!
This is one awesome dog and if someone could spring him for even a weekend, it would make a HUGE difference for him. He just needs to get out of the routine, spend more time getting loved on by people one-on-one. Just to curl up on the couch for a lazy weekend instead of being in the chaos of day care would make him so, so happy!!
