Chloe 4

Please meet our precious Chloe.  She is an 18 month old Staffie mix (her foster parents think she’s part Boxer) who is full grown at 42 pounds.  Chloe was a favorite at the shelter and the animal control officers fought hard to get her rescued.  We’re so glad they did!

Chloe is a love bug who likes to cuddle on the couch and snuggle with her foster parents and their dog.  She plays well with other sweet, gentle dogs, but is frightened of aggressive, dominant dogs and tends to growl and bark if she’s scared or feels cornered.  She’s a bit reserved when meeting new people, but quickly warms up if you gain her trust.  Chloe is a quiet and gentle presence at home and has a cute way of climbing slowly up onto the couch or bed when invited.  She loves to lay on big, soft dog beds and after snoozing, she stretches her back legs for miles while standing up straight, which always gives her foster parents a laugh!

Although Chloe is usually a calm and relaxed pup, there are times when she loves to romp and play.  She loves to rough house and tumble with her foster parent’s dog and will have bursts of energy where she runs in circles over and over because she’s having so much fun!  She enjoys long walks and jogs and her foster parents are working with her to teach her how to walk nicely on a leash.  Chloe is crate-trained and after some work, now appears to be house trained as well.  Yippee!

Chloe loves car rides.  If she’s not sticking her head out the car window, she usually falls asleep or will often stand with her feet on the center console, lean her shoulder against her foster mom and lovingly lick her ear and cheek.  She enjoys chewing on rawhides and other toys and recently discovered her reflection in the fireplace, which she stares and quietly barks at, trying to will that ‘other dog’ to come out and play. 

Chloe’s foster parents also have a cat.  Chloe and the cat both watch each other and sniff to say hello and have accepted each other quite well.  There are many times when Chloe, her foster parents, and her foster parent’s dog and cat are all on the couch at one time watching TV …it’s quite a sight to see.  Chloe has done very well with her new, furry friends. 

Chloe is a special girl who is a wonderful friend, companion and cuddle bug and she’s ready to find her forever home!
