Meet Chiltie! You may remember our trio, Lexie, Chiltie and Gordie. Well, they are all 3 still looking for their forever homes! Chiltie, along with his two siblings, were rescued in the northwest part of Houston where they were dumped. They were left to fend for themselves. Their mom was dumped with them as well and she was blond like Gordie, but unfortunately she was picked up by animal control before anyone could get to her and was euthanized. Luckily, a kind lady in the community noticed the siblings and began feeding them and gained their trust. That's when Scout's Honor Rescue stepped in and with the help of a wonderful volunteer, they were taken to safety.
Chiltie is just one handsome man! He gets along great with other dogs of all sizes. He is totally house-trained, walks great on a leash and is very well behaved. Once he’s in his element, he loves to play. He, like his siblings, is a little shy initially (can you blame him?), but once he warms up to you, he’s just a happy-go-lucky fella. At doggie daycare he was the teacher’s pet!
Chiltie weighs about 45-50 lbs, is neutered, comes fully vetted and micro-chipped. We believe he is around 1 to 1 1/2 years old.
