Thumper

This is a story of a tough little girl named Thumper that has survived more pain and abuse that we can even imagine and has a serious will to live. As we were walking through BARC this past weekend, we saw this poor sweet baby whose legs were deformed or injured and a thick wrap around her neck and just knew we had to get her out.  We weren't quite sure what was going on, but she noticeably needed help. While on the surface she was happy, we were not prepared for what was underneath that bandage...  When we saw the pictures of what was underneath the bandage, some of our board members couldn't bear to look at them. We were told she had an embedded collar, and have seen plenty of them before, but we never have seen one like this. Thumper's embedded collar was so bad that her neck looked like someone tried to cut her head off. It was one of the most gruesome injuries we've seen. Despite this horrific injury, she is just a happy go lucky kind of girl, and just wants to play.

She's just a little doll, only about 6 months old and loves everyone, person and fur-friends alike. She's great with kiddos too.  She's in a great foster home while she waits on her forever family and is doing so good.  She loves loves to play like any puppy and is just as sweet as they come!
