I'm ADOPTED!

 

Chacho was found dodging traffic and searching for scraps. He approached diners outside of a local restaurant and then would get scared and run into traffic. After three close misses with fast moving cars, a volunteer grabbed potatoes and a leash, stopped traffic, and pulled him to safety. He walked easy on the leash and got in the back of a vehicle graciously eating left over burgers, drinking water, and soaking in the AC.

Chacho is a 45 lb. male mixed terrier, about one year old. He's got the most interesting eyes - almond-shaped with various specs of shiny gold. Unfortunately, he appears to have been abused and has several bites on his hind area and on one ear, which never stands at full attention. But, he's already forgotten that life and traded it in for luxury and love. 

Currently he lives in a temporary foster home with one male and two female Rottweilers, as well as two small children. After less than two weeks, he has opened up to become a smiling, tail-wagging, kiss-giving, playing pup. Chacho is completely submissive and gentle with all dogs and kids; he shows no signs of food or toy aggression. He loves to cuddle, take walks, and give licks. 

He would be a great family dog or constant companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend. Chacho is crate and potty trained, but typically sleeps on his own bed and has freedom to run the house when his people are home. He may be shy for a few minutes but he warms up fast. If you meet him, you will fall hard.
