Meet GORGEOUS Casey! Casey is a magnificent female Rottweiler who was found wandering the streets in Brian, Texas in May 2008 weighing only 40 pounds and with a collar embedded in her poor neck. Casey then underwent a serious weight gaining and training program with her foster mom, who is a certified dog trainer and behaviorist, and she is now ready for her forever home!
Casey is approximately 2 years old and weighs 60 pounds. Casey is so smart and well-behaved! She knows how to walk on a leash and the commands "sit," "lie down," "kennel," "off," and "come" (told you she was smart!). Casey is also housetrained (will actually ask to go out), crate trained, and L-O-V-E-S car rides. She will actually go in her kennel on her own during the day and around 10 at night to sleep. In fact, her foster mom does not remember the last time she told her to kennel at night and most of the time the door is open all night -- she just chooses to stay in there. For that reason, Casey's foster mom plans to send her crate and bed with her to her new home.
Casey knows to "tell me" or speak, and she also waves and gives hugs. If she goes to a home with a trampoline, she will be on it (as you can see in one of the attached pictures). She learned to jump up on her foster family's trampoline and runs around with the kids. She also gets what we call "the crazies" if you act like you are going to chase her -- she will tuck her bottom and take off in a big circle and run run run!! It is hilarious to watch!
Casey lives with 3 kids; a newborn, a 5 year old, and 10 year old. However, simply because of her size, we think it is best she be in a home with kids about 10 years old and older. Casey also lives with a 3 year old male Rottie. Casey does well with submissive males her size or larger only. And she shows too much interest in kitties, so no cats.
Casey loves, loves, loves going on walks. She goes for walks every night by the creek near her foster moms house. Her foster mom lets her out on a 25-50ft leash (she chases squirrels and cats) and she just loves it. She is a very good dog in the house as well. She just hangs out and lies in the sun if she can. She greets any company with a butt wiggle and kisses. She used to be afraid of men but she's over that now.

The perfect home for Casey would be an active family or individual who is looking for a loyal, well-behaved, and loving companion. A "working" home is fine as long as she gets walked every day and night. Because her foster mom trained her, she is willing to work with her new family on her commands so that the transition goes well for everyone. She will also do meet and greets with family and other dogs as well.
