Meet Buford!

Buford is a very nice but timid little fellow. I can’t say I blame him once you hear his story. Buford was a street doggie owned by Mario, a homeless man. Mario was seriously injured in a hit and run accident and never returned/recovered. His friend William who was also homeless took over care for Buford along with his personal dog named Blackie (now named Bailey). See attached photos of all three.  Some nice folks saw  to it that both dogs were fully vetted and they even found an apartment for William and his two street puppies. Weeks passed and it became evident that William needed some help as he was losing his sight and the dogs were living in unsanitary conditions and not being fed properly due to his eyesight. It was then that the volunteer’s reached out to Scouts Honor Rescue to take over the care and welfare of these pup’s.

Bailey has already gone to a foster, but Buford is in boarding and is extremely scrared in boarding and  needs to get back into a home situation as soon as possible!  Please consider fostering him!! We will cover all costs associated with fostering Buford.

Buford is under a year old we believe and is a 35 pound Golden Retriever / Chow mix of sorts. He is fully vetted and heartworm negative. Buford loves to play with other dogs and is shy when he first meets humans but warms up nicely after a short while.  He is looking to find a stable home for a change of venue!!! Street life was fun and he will miss his former owners but no looking back for this little fellow.
