Introducing little Buckley!  

Buckley, or Buckles as he’s sometimes called, was found wandering the street alone when one of our volunteers found him on a rainy Houston afternoon.  This little guy is only about 4 months old, so there was no way he was being left out there alone.  Little Buckley was wet, muddy, covered in fleas, and exhausted.  He got a bath, and good meal and slept soundly until the morning.  No one ever came forward to claim this cutie, so a new lucky family will get to enjoy and watch this little guy grow up!  We believe this little nugget to be all Labrador, and from living with a Yellow Lab, it doesn't seem far off!

Buckley’s favorite thing in the whole world are stuffed toys.  You absolutely will not find him without one in his mouth, walking around wagging his little booty around.  He’s one happy little boy.  He is just about house trained, if you pay close attention to him, you can avoid accidents.  Buckley has been living with 4 other dogs of all ages gets along great with everyone.  Buckley is also crate trained, and does very well all day.  He is a happy go lucky puppy ready to experience the world with his forever family.    

Buckley is a cute little 31lb puppy now, but he will grow up and need lots of attention, training, and exercise along the way.  Buckley will likely grow up to be a large boy over the next year.  Daily long walks, and possibly runs when he’s a little older, will be a must to get his energy out and keep him happy and healthy. He will probably do very well at a dog park when he’s a little older as well, nothing seems to faze him.  With a little effort, he may just be a great fetcher too!
