This pet is currently "On Trial" with a family.
So, we got an email about 2 - 17 year old dogs (yes that is 17 years old each) and another dog about 5 years old that had been dumped at the pound because they were “too old“!Unbelievable!! 
We could not get these babies out of our minds so we are taking a leap and hoping that our amazing supporters and volunteers will help us save them! One of the 17-year-olds, was actually adopted which we hope is a great thing (although we told the pound to let us know if he’s returned for some reason).
Buck is a sweet tri-color shepherd or terrier mix. He is only about 5 years old and 30 or so pounds. Buck was very scared in the shelter and it showed when we first got him. He would cower and shake in the back of his kennel. But once we spent a little time with him, he started to warm up to us and eventually was giving kisses. Buck gets along with other dogs and likes to play. He's house-trained, leash-trained (but likes to say hi to other dogs on his walks), and crate-trained. He will voluntarily go into his crate when he's ready for bedtime.
Little Buck is super good-natured and cheerful!
Buck is a really sweet boy that just wants to find a place of his own. Please give him a chance and bring him home, he promises not to disappoint.
