Meet our sweet, wonderful boy named Brody (formerly Templeton) who was rescued from BARC after being there for over 90 days!  Thanks to a kind volunteer who offered to foster sweet Brody, he is safe and sound but is all ready for a home of his very own and no one deserves a forever home more than this good boy who's been waiting so patiently for the right home to come along!

Brody is a 4 to 5 year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier/American Pitbull Terrier mix, who loves nothing more than being outdoors on a nice walk. He walks great on a leash and enjoys every single moment walking through the neighborhood, exploring smells, people, dogs or whatever is out there. Whenever being in the house, he is a very calm and laid back fella, always watching out for that treat that he may get for doing something good.  Brody is about 40-50 pounds and is short boy so a great size too!

Brody is highly trainable, because he is very food motivated and will do anything you want him to - just to get this delicious treat!  He also just completed a 6 week intensive training with Mr. Jim Burwell and did fabulous.  The trainers will even get together with his adopter to go over all he has learned.  This is a fabulous opportunity to adopt a dog that comes very well trained and has already finished school.  Brody is really an amazing dog – a true jewel of dog!

Brody also has a very special trait: He is a "talker"! He has that beautiful low-key voice, not a bark, more like a sing-howl. Whenever he wants you to pay attention to him, he will "talk" to you! So, if he sees something outside through the window, that is interesting, or if you pet him and it feels good and he wants you to stay putt, he will "talk" and let you know.  He just has the most charming and fun-loving personality you can imagine and so so smart.  Brody’s foster dad says he is a very sweet, super-easy dog and is really a pleasure to have around the house.

Brody is crate trained and considers his crate being a den, although you won't need it to keep him out of trouble in the house. He won't chew up anything or get into to the trash or mess up anything in the house, while you are gone. He's just that perfect pal!  He is also totally housetrained too.  He is also very laid-back and usually doesn’t even get out of bed until after you’ve had your first cup of coffee!

Brody loves other dogs and likes playing chase with them in yard, or play-wrestling in the house.  Just no cats for this boy – they are just too fun to chase.

Brody is up to date on all of his shots, is neutered, heartworm negative and microchipped too.
