Meet our boy Blue!

Our sweet boy Blue lost his way somehow and ended up hunkered down in an abandoned shed.  When we found Blue he had two collars on, but no tags and no micro-chip.  He had been living on his own in the abandoned shed right off I-45 and Cavalcade for about 3 weeks before a Good Samaritan was able to earn his trust by feeding and providing water to him multiple times a day.  We are not sure why he never left the area, but he stayed right there in the shed and would also get between the back of the shed and the fence where he seemed to be comfortable in a closed in area.  We know this sweet boy must have been very scared all on his own.  Well, we were finally able to get this sweet boy and get him to safety.  Blue has definitely led a rough life for no telling how long on the rough streets of Houston.  He is a bit timid at first, but he warms up and is learning to trust.  He really likes other dogs so we are thinking he would do best in a home with another dog that can teach him the ropes and how to trust again. 

 Everyone that meets Blue says he's an incredibly sweet sweet dog.  Once he trusts you, he will follow you around room to room.  In his temp. weekend foster home when his foster was sitting, he would come and sit on the floor where she was. 

He is housebroken and crate-trained.  He sleeps in his crate, and does perfect with that too.

Blue really needs a loving and patient foster home right away where he can learn that his world will never be scary again.  Please consider opening your home and heart to Blue.  We promise it will be very rewarding and you will make a huge difference in the life of this precious boy.  He's definitely a smart boy having made it on the streets and he catches on quickly despite everything being so new to him.

Blue is a handsome Yellow Lab, about 3-4 years old, and weighs about 60lbs right now, but he definitely needs groceries.  He will be a very handsome Yellow Lab when he get some more weight on him.
