Blair

Blair and Clancy are two fabulous dogs who found themselves in a not so fabulous situation when their owner had to give them up due to economic hardship.  Blair and her hubby, Clancy, were turned into LaPorte Animal Control just before Christmas 2010.  We received a call about how special these two were and they were soon in our program.  Both approximately 3 years old, we believe they have been together since they were puppies.  They are inseparable!  They share crates, bowls, and toys and have no concept of personal space with each other.  They share everything!  When one can't see each other, they tend to become upset, and it's likely the only time you'll hear either one of them bark.  Blair and Clancy's bond is amazing to watch.  They can speak to each other with their eyes and never seem to be off the same page.  We have found ourselves referring to them as husband and wife, sweet hearts, lovebirds, and soul mates.

Blair is a sweet and gentle speckled Labrador mix. Her coat is shiny black with a smile from ear to ear.  Mr. Clancy is a handsome Shepherd mix with a heart of gold and eyes only for Blair.  Blair really loves Clancy (but we think he loves her more) and so we want to find a home for both of them so they can stay together.   Well, who loves whom more may never be determined.  What we do know is that anyone who meets them will see it right away.  Keeping them together has been our mission for them for the last year!

Blair and Clancy would do just about anything for someone to play fetch with them with a tennis ball.  Tennis balls are the greatest thing on earth!!   Like all loyal partners, Blair mostly just runs alongside Clancy, but lets him get the ball 9 times out of 10, even if she secretly wants it (and could get it) herself.   We imagine these two dream about tennis balls, pools, fetching tennis balls out of the pool, and sweet dreams about each other. 

Blair & Clancy are very well-behaved and house-trained. They would be a perfect pair for any family looking for fun-loving friends!
