Meet Dollie, Madison, Abe and Ben - our precious little babies who were rescued from an abandoned house that had burned down. Their mean (and VERY irresponsible) owners just left these little ones behind to fend for themselves after the house burned. Thanks to a very kind animal control officer and a kind man who stopped by to feed them, these sweeties have found their way into Scout's Honor Rescue and are now looking for their forever homes!! In spite of their rough start, they could not be happier little doggies that are just ready for a home of their very own!! These little ones appear to be terrier/doxie mixes (probably mixed in with a little bit of several other breeds). They are about 4-5 months and weigh about 10-12 pounds. Our vet estimates that they will be 20-30 pounds when they are full grown. They have all of their shots and are microchipped and will be spayed and neutered. Their foster parents tell us these are the best little doggies in the world. They are all crate trained and are close to being housetrained. They are not your typical terrier and are very calm and are really very much lap dogs that love nothing more than to curl up with you on the couch and be loved on. They get along great with other dogs (have not yet had them around cats) and they already know how to walk very well on a leash. Their foster parents say they are super-smart and are so so happy to finally have a warm bed inside and regular meals and lots of love...a far cry from where they started...we keep telling them, they are headed to the good life!
