Meet Bear!

 

A few weeks ago a nice lady took her car to the mechanic after work and noticed the Fire Department had blocked off the entire street due to a house fire.

 

As the house was burning she saw a dog run out of the home. It was Bear. He was terrified and so scared he just crawled into the bushes shaking. The lady just sat there watching all this happen, and when things calmed down after the fire was put out she met the owners of the house that had burned. The owner mentioned he had no where to go and he could no longer keep his dog, and if anyone wanted him they could have him, otherwise, he was leaving him there to fend for himself.

 

For a few weeks after this happened the lady drove by the home every day to feed and provide water for Bear. Poor Bear was living on a dead-end street, in a junky yard with no lighting and no shelter except the burned out house and broken down cars he would crawl under. He also was filthy from soot and mud from the fire and the water used to put the fire out. He was very timid at first, but after a while he warmed up to her and would give her hugs and kisses every day when she showed up to feed him. The lady wanted to help him but had nowhere to take him so she kept going to see him every day and telling everyone she knew about Bear.We saw his plea and had to help.

 

Bear is a pretty boy and seems very sweet, but he is unsure of new people at first and was most likely neglected by his owner. But he is safe now and slowly realizing that no one is going to hurt him and he is being very sweet to everyone.

 

Bear is about 40-50 pounds with long pale yellow fur and has his tongue sticking out a lot, which is so cute.

 

Now that he is safe and being cared for, we need to find this guy a foster home where he can be loved, and learn that people are his friends and he does not need to be scared anymore. If you can help and foster Bear, or if you want to adopt him, please contact us at info@scoutshonor.org.
