Meet cutie-pie Barney!!   Barney is a wonderful little boy who is in need of an outstanding home!

Barney came to Scout's Honor right after he and his sister were caught as 3-4 month old pups. They had been running the Heights their entire (short) lives. Barney was quickly adopted by what we thought was going to be his forever family, but unfortunately they decided that having a dog wasn’t for them after all and little Barney man is looking for some new digs today!

When Barney first came to the program, he was super shy, but has grown into quite the little charmer.  He is incredibly playful and fun when he feels comfortable, he just needs to start of slower than some other dogs might. Patience, love and time are the biggest gifts you can give anyone, and the most important things you can give Barney.

A home with another dog would be a huge benefit to Barney so that he could learn the doggie ways in the home. He is curious and playful with cats, even when they don't want to play with him. Once settled in, you will find that Barney’s favorite things will include snuggling with you as you read, watch tv or sleep. And, of course, taking long walks and playing with other dogs is a must!!

Barney is up to date on vaccines, neutered and micro-chipped. He may be a terrier mix of sorts, but we know its something really cute!  He is an adorable scruffy guy, that weighs in at almost 40 pounds & is just shy of one year old.
