BamBam

Our little BamBam (our baby boy run over by a car) is ready for his forever home!

As some of you may have heard, a couple weeks ago we were at our emergency vet (VERGI) checking on our tripod dog Sully, when some people brought in a 13 week old puppy who had been run over by a car.  He was screaming and in severe pain from head trauma, lung contusions and a rear leg that was broken in multiple places. His “owners” carried him in by his front two legs – it was just sickening.  The people claimed they could not afford any treatment for him and just wanted to euthanize him and not even find out the severity of the injuries. We couldn't stand to sit there and watch this baby boy with his whole life ahead of him just die. So, we quietly stepped in and took him to see if we could help.  Luckily, BamBam recovered quickly from the head trauma and lung issues, much of which was shock and superficial. However, his leg is broken severely in multiple places and cannot be repaired by a regular vet.  So he went to see a specialist. Well, the specialist did an awesome job and was able to put him back together and save his leg!  He had two surgeries done and multiple pins put in his leg but you wouldn't know it by the way he acts. He is full of energy and wants to play. 

BamBam is with a temporary foster and doing great. He is now looking for a forever home. He finished his first 2 weeks of strict confinement and did great. He has a restriction on play time for about 6 more weeks.  He is having his follow up soon and hopefully get the all clear.  After that, he should be good to go and be the puppy he wants to be.

BamBam is a little guy, maybe a Beagle/Shepherd Mix of sorts.  He is as cute as a button and LOVES everyone, canine, dog and cat alike.   He's a great little guy, sleeps through the night and even lets you know when he has to go potty.
