Archie 3

Meet Archie!  Poor Archie found himself in the euthanasia room at BARC earlier this week when he came in with an injured leg.  Someone knew how special this guy was and sent out a medical plea, which came directly to my email and a few hours later Archie was delivered safely to our vet.   His front right leg is swollen to roughly 3 times the normal size right now and was 10 times worse a few days ago.  He is responding well to antibiotics and it’s getting lots of good paid meds too.  Archie does have an extensive bone infection that has required quite a bit of extra testing with a specialist.  He still has some more testing to make sure we are attacking the infection properly. Any donations for Archie’s care are greatly appreciated!

Despite being in a lot of pain, Archie gave kisses and tail wags for everyone at the vet’s office.  He would love a foster.  He can’t run around or be bonkers & doesn’t really want too either. It would be an easy foster and sure would love to be laying on a dog bed (or a couch!) in a comfy house instead of in a kennel at the vet!  Please consider fostering this guy and giving him some extra loving while he is hurting.  Archie is about 4 years old, 85 pounds and we believe him to be a Flat-coated Retriever.
