Apollo 3

Meet Apollo! Apollo is new to the program. We got word on him at closing time at BARC. Apollo had starting coughing (kennel cough) so they were moving him to the hospital ward. When they got there, it was full, no room for Apollo. So they were going to euthanize him!! A very nice person at BARC helped us get that squared up real quick and waited outside for us to come get Apollo! Safely stashed now and checked in at our vet, he is looking for a foster or forever home sooner than later.

Apollo seems to have been someone's pet that got lost early last week and didn't find his way back home before BARC found him & he wasn't claimed in the time he spent at BARC. He is approx 1 year old and weighs right at 50 pounds. He may be shy of a year and has a little growing up and filling out to do. He is a gorgeous yellow lab and, in true fashion, has the sheer joy of a lab! Life is GOOD! Bones are GOOD, people are GOOD, car rides are GOOD. You get the picture.

When he was transported he sat properly in the back seat, found a koozie on the floor and proudly displayed it in his mouth for the rest of the ride, as if to say "look what I got!?!?!". Apollo is already stealing hearts and bringing smiles to people's faces. What he needs most immediately is a foster home. How has room for this silly boy?
