Tad

Please meet sweetie pie Tad (short for tadpole). He was found stumbling on a sidewalk in a "not so good" part of town. He was wobbling a bit and walking around in circles. As a friend of SHR approached him, they noticed that his eyes were in seriously bad shape. They were swollen and sealed closed with infection and he could not see, hence the wobbling and walking around in circles. He was taken immediately to the vet, as well as the eye specialist for treatment.  He purred the entire time during the initial vet visit, and given the circumstances he was under, it's just unbelievable.  It’s been roughly 6 weeks and Tad is blind on one eye today, but has sight in the other eye.  He just a little guy at 3 months old and his eyes are still on the mend.  Tad goes for his follow up visit today to the eye specialist to see how he is progressing.

As far as getting around, Tad is a superstar.  He has figured out his way around the house, starting with one room in the beginning, he now has the full run of the house with the other kitties. Tad runs and plays like nothing ever happened, and with minor revisions when going into new circumstances, that shouldn’t change.  His other senses have kicked into high gear as well.  Tad’s sense of smell is amazing.  He might not see some things until he is on top of them, but he smells them long before then.  Not to mention he can hear a pin drop in another room. All in all, this is your normal active little boy who loves nothing more in the world than playing with his siblings. He loves other cats and would do great with another cat in the house to show him the ropes!

Tad is a 3 ½ month old Bengal Mix.   He has gorgeous spotting, a white belly, pink toes and a pink nose like a little bunny.  He's got one heck of a long tail too with a white tip (we call it his paint brush) and big pointed ears like a pharaoh tiger from Egypt.  He chirps like a Bengal, instead of meowing, and extremely friendly with everyone he meets. He purrs so loud you can hear him from across the room and he loves to snuggle up on your lap after a long day of playing.  Please consider giving this sweet little boy a home.
