Orange Ruffy

Can you believe that handsome Orange Ruffy was left by his owners when they moved?  He had been fending for himself for at least a month with no adequate shelter and very little food.  His foster mom was driving through some side streets in the Heights area and was flagged down by a street person who was very concerned about his welfare.  This lady was taking Orange Ruffy a piece of lunch meat…sharing with him her meager dinner.

The neighbors said that Ruffy was wild; however, when he was trapped, he was very calm and collected.  He knew there was a better life for him than the mean cold streets.  He has not looked back since!

Ruffy is an absolute love bug….he adores petting and is especially fond of belly rubs.  He rolls over in ecstasy when given some loving.  And, is he ever a talker with his gentle little meow…..he wants to tell you all about his day.  His demeanor is laidback and gentle.  You can even kiss on him and hold him….he seems to love all types of affection. And, he’s learning how to be a lap kitty! Looking out the window and napping in the sunlight are two of his greatest pleasures. 

He’s more of a “people kitty” than a “cat’s kitty” and would probably do really well in a home where he could be the only kitty and have someone dote on him alone. However, he is learning to play with a couple of the kitties…maybe another gentle kitty in the house would work for him. He’s not fond of the doggie here, so any dog in his new home would need to be completely oblivious of him.

Ruffy is a DMH orange tabby with white and his estimated date of birth is November 11, 2007.  He has been neutered, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested negative for FIV/FELV and is microchipped.  He’s all set to go home with you and start his wonderful new life!
