Montie

Meet precious Montie!  Montie is a darling calico kitten and is approximately 8 to 10 weeks old.

I was dropping my daughter off at Montessori school this morning, and as I was walking by an SUV, I heard some loud mewing.  I thought at first that there was a kitten in the car that was on his or her way to the vet, so I just walked on to my car.  However, as I was getting in my car, I thought it was better to be safe than sorry, so I went back to the SUV and asked the woman who was driving it if she had a cat in the car.  She said “no,” and I responded “well then, I think you have one in your engine!”  She was immediately worried and informed me that she had just driven 30 minutes.  As she took her child inside, I crawled under the car but didn’t see anything.  When she returned, we opened the hood of her car, and voila, there was sweet little Montie, huddled in a corner near the engine and absolutely petrified. 

Amazingly, Montie is in great shape—no broken bones and no burns.  She is at our vet getting her vaccinations and tests.  She will be spayed when she is old enough.  She is such a sweet little thing.
