Meet Janis Joplin! When she was rescued, she was *very* vocal; now that she is 4-5 months old and feels secure and happy, she doesn't yowl at all, but she'll hold a conversation with you. Janie lost her mother way too young - she still likes to "nurse" on you and very gently gnaw, to nuzzle your neck or in the bend of your elbow, though she is now starting to outgrow that, but she loves to curl up in your lap and knead and purr. She's very careful with her claws - she won't scratch. Janis has a ticked coat like the original cat ancestor or the modern Abyssinian, and will probably always be a small slender cat. She has frequent attacks of the "kitten crazies" that send her flying around the room chasing a paper wad or leaping on another kitten to wrestle, but she also has mellow stretches when all she wants is to lie on your lap and cuddle. A sunny windowsill is her favorite perch.
