Rocky

Meet Rocky, who is approximately a 1-2 year old male Rottweiler weighing 90 lbs. We saw this handsome face and physique on the list of a kill shelter and knew he needed saving. Then when we met this sweet boy and his personality sealed the deal.

Right now Rocky is in boarding with our trainers and is doing great, but would love a foster or forever home. If you know Rottweilers, you know his typical traits - eager to please, loves to go on walks and of course great food and some affection to round off a perfect day. Rocky can be picky about his playmates and does well with dogs his size since he likes to play rough. He likes to be the boss. He is not good with cats. He is good with older kids who have been taught to respect dogs, meaning no teasing or sitting on him (but duh, who likes that anyway?).  

He loves to eat (wait, we already said that). Being so motivated by food makes this boy even more likely to follow rules and learn what it takes to get those yummy treats. Rocky does the rottie lean and will never leave your side if he's getting a rub down. This sweet boy would do great with someone familiar with working breed dogs.  Rocky is currently heartworm positive (not contagious) but please don't let that keep you from meeting me. Scout's Honor is treating me through the "slow-kill" method of treatment and they would be more than happy to discuss it with you.
